Post Birthday's Thoughts

I wake up today, I am 28 years old +4 days. Is that weird? Well I guess not, we get older every year right! Anyway, I start reminiscing about everything and nothing!
I have been thinking about my life and my impulses. I've been living in Vietnam for almost 10 months now. My life has changed completely but it happened so naturally. I'm living off love and wine... butterflies and candies...  noodles and bubbles. I've met so many great people. I'm not complaining. Still birthdays imply melancholy of the past,  and thoughts on the future. Thus you start asking yourself questions, "The Rhetorical Questions".

There are two kinds of rhetorical questions: the Enough's and the Less' questions.

- Am I working enough? Am I reading enough? Am I writing enough? Am I running enough? Am I blond enough? Am I funny enough? Am I taking enough pictures? Am I dancing enough? Am I loving enough? Am I talking to my family and friends enough? Am I smiling enough? ...

And...

- Am I eating less? Am I smoking less? Am I whining less? Am I shopping less? Am I bitching less? Am I being less lazy? Am I drinking less? Am I annoying Manu less? Am I kissing my dog less?...

Too many questions.
I live in the present, and I am very satisfied with what I have, I feel lucky. I feel surrounded by little bubbles of positive energy!

What I've realize is that, we can look back at the past and plan for the future, but you have to live in the present. You can be whoever you want to be and do whatever you feel like doing, as long as you are convinced that it's the right choice for you. And if it is, you will succeed!

Here is one of my favorite quotes, it's by George Bernard Shaw. And I think he is very right in some ways, we are all different yet the same, but it's "us" who define "us" and define who we are!

If you want to act crazy and silly, just do it. People who take themselves too seriously tend to be bored, boring, and uninteresting.

If you want to listen to the Backstreet Boys, turn on your radio... (But don't go to the concert!)

If you want to write, be creative, go outside and write....

But please don't forget to smile...even if you are missing teeth. There is nothing as beautiful as a person smiling!
