Langkawi, Malaysia

I decided it was time to get away from cold and grey Ha Noi, so I booked a flight to Malaysia.
I met up with my good friend Adelaide in Kuala Lumpur. She treated me to a Lebanese lunch (ah reminiscence) and we went on a "mini" shopping frenzy. In the evening we took a flight to Langkawi, which is an island in the North West of Malaysia. Et voila les vacances!! Aaaah sea, sun and reggae for 5 days.

Babylon: a place of peace, laughter, and reggae music!

Proud to be Vietnamese

This was taken during Ha Noi's 1000th anniversary. An old man was posing with young Vietnamese. Judging from his medals(6 I guess!!), he must have been a war hero. I think he looks guuud!!

Cao Son Market, North Vietnam

This is what I call colorful!! The traditional outfit of the Hmong from Cao Son's Market is all hand made. The skirts, bags, scarves, everything is home-made! they just need to accessorize with shoes. I love those bright colors, and the dedication they put in order to come out with the quasi-exact pattern!

Cao Son, North Vietnam

During my first trip to Vietnam, we went on an adventure all around the country. But I must say that there's one specific region that I absolutely adore! It's the North! When we were on the motorbike riding from Lao Cai to Cao Son, we noticed all the kids playing by the street. One of them was even riding a huge black pig! The look in the eyes of some of them was so intense, you wouldn't say they're 5 or 6 years old!!

The striped shirt is very trendy up there!

What did I just say! Another striped shirt!

I though she was the cutest, and she loved the camera!
This is my favorite!Notice the Mohawk hair
& the white dot cape
